NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—HARMAN Professional Solutions announced the EON ONE Take Contest, offering songwriters across the United States a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reach thousands of listeners online and win a dream recording session. Participants will be invited to visit the HARMAN mobile recording truck to record a video performance of an original song in One Take, using the new JBL Professional EON ONE PA. A panel of industry experts will choose the top 10 finalists, with a public vote deciding the grand prize winner.
“The EON ONE Take Contest is about empowering artists to show the world what they can do,” said Bryan Bradley, Senior Vice President & GM, HARMAN Professional Solutions, Entertainment SBU. “We’re looking forward to hearing songwriters from across the country express their unique voices and seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
To enter the contest, applicants must submit a video of their original song performance to www.eononetake.com. Selected participants will be invited to perform and record their song on the HARMAN mobile recording truck at one of many locations across the United States. Each participant who performs will win an AKG D5 vocal microphone.
An elite panel of judges, including Quincy Jones, Andrew McMahon and Bryan Bradley, will choose the top 10 finalists. Quincy Jones is a 27-time GRAMMY®-winning music impresario whose influential career has spanned over six decades. Andrew McMahon is the vocal, songwriting and lyrical force behind Jack’s Mannequin, as well as his current project, Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness. Bryan Bradley is head of the HARMAN Professional Solutions Entertainment division, which encompasses solutions for professional and aspiring musicians.
The grand prize winner will receive a trip to record at The Village Studios in Los Angeles. The Village is a world-class recording facility that has served GRAMMY® Award-winning artists for over five decades. In addition to creating chart topping albums, The Village is well known for its impressive list of movie soundtracks.
The EON ONE Take contest gets its name in part from the new EON ONE personal PA system from JBL by HARMAN. EON ONE leverages JBL’s 70-year legacy to provide proven sound quality and convenience in an easy-to-carry form factor that is ideal for a variety of performers.
“The new EON ONE personal, portable PA features a unique patent-pending speaker configuration based on our massive concert line arrays,” said Craig Lambrecht, Retail & Recording Solutions, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “The innovative speaker technology, together with a streamlined and easy-to-carry design and host of other features makes EON ONE ideal for solo artists, small groups, DJs and professionals looking for pristine audio at any location.”
