HARMAN’s Martin Professional Lighting Fixtures Reinforce Mirror Lounge & Club’s Prestige and High-Profile Status

Bali, INDONESIA — With the opening late last year of The Mirror Lounge & Club, Seminyak, the international vacation hotspot on the west coast of Bali, has become an even more popular tourist destination. With a capacity of 1,000, the club is the latest, and one of the largest, high-profile additions to the Seminyak scene. To accentuate the club’s distinct layout and features, local integration firm Monalisa Tunggal Jaya (MJT) selected a wide array of HARMAN Martin Professional lighting fixtures, which they’ve been installing across Indonesia since 1996.

Owned by Indonesian entertainment organization All In, Mirror caters to an eclectic mix of both local and foreign clubbers who are drawn to its unique layout design. Paneled mirrors are mounted in the corners of the club, which features high ceilings and a rectangular floor plan oriented around the DJ, dispersing the crowd to the sides of the stage.

“Even with Mirror’s high ceilings and extended length, we were able to illuminate the whole area from top to bottom with Martin fixtures,” said MTJ’s Zandy Jong. “All In specifically requested the best products for its sophisticated clientele. Martin was the clear choice.”

Jong considers Mirror one of Seminyak’s “most prestigious” clubs. Jong believes it is unique not only in terms of construction, but also in concept.

“Mirror’s symbol is a mythological owl and we designed the lighting environment around the club’s central massive owl statue, which is perched high above the crowd,” said Jong. “Together, the owl and the lights, especially the RUSH MH 3 beam, end up presenting a visual spectacle.”

The RUSH MH 3 is a powerful beam moving head that blasts an intense and narrow long-throw beam, capable of creating several effects including a dimmer, strobe effect, 8-facet prism and focus. Jong’s team deployed a comprehensive selection of Martin products not limited purely to lighting fixtures. All the lighting fixtures and the JEM Compact Hazer Pro units are controlled by the Martin Light Jockey lighting controller.

“Martin products are consistently reliable and smooth so we’re always comfortable deploying them in clubs like Mirror,” said Jong. “The MAC 101s get a lot of attention, but it’s the combination of all the Martin gear including the RUSH MH 3s that creates such a visually dynamic atmosphere in Mirror’s distinct space.”
