HARMAN Professional’s IDX Information Delivery System Offers a Turnkey Paging Solution for Amusement Parks and Themed Entertainment

ORLANDO, Florida — HARMAN Professional, in partnership with paging and information display specialist Com-Net Software, recently introduced its IDX Information Delivery System, a turnkey hardware and software solution that delivers paging, audio and video for professional applications. Ideal for use in amusement parks, theme parks and attractions, IDX has already been successfully deployed in major airports and transit facilities across the world

The IDX Information Delivery System employs proprietary HARMAN and Com-Net technologies to offer great-sounding, highly reliable audio networks and digital signage software platforms that can be scaled to any installation requirement, from an entire amusement park to a single attraction. IDX features a user-friendly interface that offers versatile configuration and control options.

“Amusement park and theme park paging systems have specific and critical requirements that absolutely have to be met,” said Martin Collins, Target Market Specialist, HARMAN Professional. “They have to offer highly intelligible speech reproduction so that people will always understand the announcements, even in a noisy amusement park. They should deliver clear music playback. Perhaps most of all, these mission-critical systems have to be absolutely reliable day in and day out, with specific feature sets and fail-safes to ensure 100 percent dependability.”

The IDX Information Delivery System builds on the strengths of audio solutions provider HARMAN and Com-Net. It integrates HARMAN’s HiQnet™ control and connectivity protocol with software based on Com-Net’s ECLIPSX Flight Information Display System. The result is a system that offers powerful audio networking and control for themed entertainment facilities, as well as paging and life safety for airports, transportation, healthcare, government, hotels, casinos and other commercial applications.

HARMAN’s HiQNet is the world’s first connectivity and control protocol that integrates all products in the signal chain – mixing consoles, mics, power amplifiers, speakers and other hardware – for professional audio systems of all types, sizes and applications. Operators no longer have to manage or program multiple disparate operating systems.
