With a strong focus on simple-to-use yet effective microphone conference systems, AKG features it sophisticated CS 5 Conferencing System at Integrated Systems Europe. The interactive system is Ethernet technology-centric with 64 audio channels suitable for any meeting space, from small discussions to large congresses. AKG also offers a decentralized power system that incorporates AC adapters throughout the 12 microphone audio ring stations for high redundancy and all-inclusive software for easy setup.
The CS 5 Conferencing System gives users an unprecedented amount of control through the CS 5 Base Unit (BU), which controls the entire system, allowing users to set the number of delegates speaking simultaneously. The “CS 5 VU” microphone station acts as delegate or as president station, enabling the main speaker to control the discussion, put motions to vote and of course, call functions to order. The system offers dedicated interpreter stations for translation up to 63 languages. An external mic input on the CS 5 BU allows for a hardwire or wireless microphone to be used for consecutive interpretations and the computer system includes Chip Card Identification, able to check the identity of the person using the microphone station ensuring proper clearance.
“As the most advanced conference system available, the CS 5 provides users with a reliable and completely effective system, whether they are in a grand hall or in a small corporate setting,” stated Philipp Sonnleitner, product marketing manager, AKG. “Coupling this advanced system with AKG’s industry leading microphone selections allows users to turn to AKG for all of their conferencing needs.”
A single CS 5 BU can control more than 1,000 microphone stations and the special ring wiring system with standard CAT4/RJ34 ensures failsafe operations and low cost. There are also a wide variety of microphones to choose from for each station, with each station able to provide settings for two users simultaneously. The system has the ability to use infrared wireless transmission and provides the necessary software to link together the entire system.
