AKG Confirms Leadership In Audio Engineering With Membership In METAlliance Pro Partners

AKG has confirmed its place among the ranks of audio engineering’s elite in becoming a member of METAlliance Pro Partners. The move unites AKG with other audio engineers and producers who have been deeply involved in establishing techniques that form the foundation of modern music recording.

METAlliance Pro Partners is an organization dedicated to producing music through the most effective recording technologies, which is why the organization selected AKG for membership. Founded in 1947, AKG has been an industry leader in audio engineering for over 60 years, specializing in microphones, headphones, and wireless audio systems. Its long history and reputation for excellence made AKG a natural fit for METAlliance Pro Partners, as Pro Partner membership is limited to companies that have shown a capacity to manufacture and distribute products that meet the organization’s professional audio qualifications.

“We are very gratified to become a member of this extremely vital organization,” said Thomas Stubics, Product Marketing Manager for Recording and Broadcast at AKG. “We have been producing superior audio equipment for over 60 years and with this METAlliance partnership, the best audio engineers in the world have confirmed this dedication to providing products professionals can agree upon.

METAlliance was founded by a group of audio engineers that includes Chuck Ainlay, Ed Cherney, Frank Filipetti, George Massenburg, Phil Ramone, Elliot Scheiner and Al Schmitt. Their long history in music recording and vast experience with AKG equipment is what led them to establish AKG as a member of their organization.

Elliot Scheiner stated, “I’ve been using AKG microphones since I started recording. I’ve never done a session without an AKG mic.” George Massenburg remarked, “I’d be hard pressed to remember a session that didn’t have an AKG microphone on an important voice or instrument source.”

“We’re very pleased that this renowned microphone technology company has become a Pro Partner,” Al Schmitt said. “Personally, I’m a big fan of AKG mics and use them on all my sessions.”
