Crown by HARMAN Introduces Dante-Enabled DriveCore Install DA Series Amplifiers

Crown DCi-DA Series brings Dante networked audio options to the industry-leading DriveCore Install amplifier family

LAS VEGAS—Building off of the highly successful Crown DriveCore Install family of amplifiers, Crown by HARMAN today introduced the DCi-DA Series amplifiers that feature Dante networked audio transport. For applications that require Dante networked audio, the Crown DCi-DA Series provides a balanced combination of output power, channel count and speaker load flexibility.

The Crown DCi-DA Series consists of five amplifiers with the most-popular combination of channel count and output power. In addition to being able to send and receive Dante audio, the DCi-DA Series includes many of the same features as the DCi-Network Series, such as the inclusion of a high-level DSP with JBL tunings, network control/monitoring, highly efficient design, and the ability to drive 2/4/8 ohm, 70V and 100V speaker loads out of each channel without the need for an external transformer.

“The introduction of the DCi-DA Series to the Crown DriveCore Install family of amplifiers gives our customers even more flexibility to choose the right amplifier for the right job,” said Tom Lureman, Large Venue Electronics Solutions Manager at HARMAN Professional Solutions. “With the DCi-DA Series, HARMAN Professional Solutions now offers a more traditional alternative in addition to our innovative BLU link approach to a Dante solution.”

Dante is the most popular networked audio transport in the industry, supported by more than 250 manufacturers, including HARMAN. The Crown DCi-DA Series is fully compatible with HARMAN’s HiQnet Audio Architect™ software application and will launch in 8|300, 8|600 and 4|1250 configurations in November 2016.

The DriveCore Install family is a complete family of high performance installation amplifiers based on HARMAN’s proprietary DriveCore technology. The DCi-DA Series joins the Analog, Network and Network Display Series to offer 25 different combinations of channel count, output power and feature set. The DCi family of amplifiers is designed, engineered and manufactured to the industry’s highest quality standards, and provides system integrators with the advanced features and flexibility required for the most challenging applications.
