AKG by HARMAN Presents New K182 Monitor Headphones at Winter NAMM 2016

ANAHEIM, California – At Winter NAMM 2016, AKG by HARMAN is showcasing the K182 professional monitor headphones, building on more than 65 years of history in professional recording and expanding its studio headphone lineup. The closed-back, folding design of the K182 headphones provide unmatched sonic clarity, comfort and convenient portability for professional musicians, producers and engineers working in a range of production environments.

The K182’s large high-sensitivity 50mm transducers deliver an extended frequency range of 10 Hz – 28 kHz and ample output when used with portable music players and mobile devices. In addition, the refined closed-back, over-ear design provides excellent isolation along with exceptional comfort during long sessions.

High-quality construction ensures that the K182 is built to endure the inevitable drops and bumps that can occur during use and transport. Employing an ingenious three-axis mechanism, the K182 folds conveniently into a compact form factor when not in use. A detachable cable and replaceable ear pads extend the longevity of the customer’s investment. The included 1/8-inch–to–1/4-inch (3.5mm-to-6.3mm) screw-on adapter allows the K182 to be connected to a broad range of pro and consumer gear.

AKG designed the K182 headphones with extensive input from professionals working in a broad range of environments. “The K182 headphones is AKG’s response to the demand for excellent sonic performance, along with exceptional comfort and built-to-last reliability,” said Peter Chaikin, Recording Solutions, HARMAN Professional. “The folding portable design of the K182 allows pros to have a consistent, accurate reference, wherever their projects take them.”
