HARMAN Professional Hosts Indiana Chamber of Commerce Connect and Collaborate 2015 Series Event at Elkhart Facility

ELKHART, Indiana - Underscoring its commitment to the local Elkhart community as well as business and commerce statewide, HARMAN's Elkhart, Indiana facility will host the Indiana Chamber of Commerce's upcoming Connect and Collaborate event on Tuesday, June 9th. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce's 2015 Connect and Collaborate series provides information from various business leaders from across the state highlighting how organizations can save costs on energy and other valuable insights for Indiana Businesses.

At the event, John Fitzgerald, Vice President and General Manager of HARMAN's Signal Processing and Amplifier Business Units, will discuss HARMAN's GreenEdge™ program and explain the goals, which included increasing efficiency of all products, reducing weight and implementing a comprehensive exchange program so older product would not end up in landfills. Fitzgerald will also join a panel discussion on energy and sustainability related issues with Indiana Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kevin Brinegar and Vice President of Energy and Environmental Policy Vince Griffin.

HARMAN's Elkhart facility serves as the company's Professional Division headquarters for its amplifier business unit and employs over 200 people in the areas of manufacturing, marketing, programming, sales and management. HARMAN's Crown Amplifier brand has been in Elkhart since the company's founding in 1947.
