VIENNA,
Austria – Celebrating the anticipated release of the latest adventure of James
Bond, HARMAN’s AKG accentuated a pair of Heineken-sponsored “Skyfall” events in Madrid by outfitting
two unusual venues with high-end sound. HARMAN’s Spanish distributor, Neotécnica, deployed AKG’s DMS700 wireless system for
the special occasions during the film’s Spanish Premiere.
The first
event centered around a “Break the Case” contest, where participants gathered
at Madrid’s Atocha railway station for a competition to decode a 007 briefcase.
AKG deployed its wireless DPT700 and DHT700 transmitters and DSR700 receivers for
the emcees and DJ’s to complement the sophisticated mood.
“AKG’s sound
was spectacular and absolutely reliable,” said Neotécnica
Product & Marketing Manager Gabriel Albornoz. “Sound reinforcement for the
event was a massive challenge, as it was held in one of Spain’s largest and
loudest train stations. With DMS700, the event’s sound was a success.”
An exclusive
special event took place in Madrid the same day, where nearly 2,000 VIP guests
were invited to dance, socialize and gamble in an abandoned train repair
facility. DMS700 wireless was supplied for the house band’s entire microphone
set, in addition to numerous D5 and newly released D12 VR’s. K267 AKG by TIËSTO headphones were supplied for each participating DJ.
“The DJs
were so impressed with the K267 TIËSTO headphones,
at the end of the night they all took them to their homes and studios,” said
Walter Rührig, Artist & Key Customer
Relations for AKG. “This is a testament to our continued mission of providing
quality and reliable products to the live sound industry.”
Freelance engineer
Michel Martin and Sound2 managed the audio production during each event.
