Swiss Federal Office For Sport Auditorium Receives Complete HARMAN Upgrade

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Swiss Federal Office for Sport has recently undergone a major renovation including a complete HARMAN professional audio solution featuring components from BSS Audio, Crown and JBL. The office is a center of excellence for all sport-related issues, situated as one of four such sites across Switzerland.

All audio equipment used in the installation was supplied by HARMAN Professional distributor, Dr.W.A.Günther Audio Systems AG and the installation was handled by system integrator Kilchenmann AG.

In the main hall speech intelligibility was a major priority. Two JBL AM5212/95 series loudspeakers, finished in white, are being used as front speakers, with six JBL AC16 compact speakers as delays in the 335 sq. metre hall.

Signal processing is handled by two BSS Audio Soundweb London BLU-100 devices and a BLU-BOB2 break-out box / output expander with three Crown CDi amplifiers powering the system.

Ensuring compliance with Swiss regulations for noise emissions, the system was subject to thorough technical and qualitative inspection at the first measurement stage. Lars Scheidegger, from Kilchenmann AG, who was responsible for project management stated, “The system not only complies with all regulatory requirements, but satisfies the requirement with its clear sound quality and extraordinary intelligibility at any point in the room.”

Smaller rooms found off the main hall each are equipped with a pair of JBL Control 25 loudspeakers and Crown XLS 202 power amplifier.
