Radio Iasi Purchases Three Studer OnAir 2500 Consoles and Route 6000 Systems

Radio Iasi, part of National Radio of Romania, recently purchased three Studer OnAir 2500 broadcast consoles with Route 6000 routing and signal processing systems as part of an upgrade of its facilities. Radio Iasi is a major regional public radio station from Iasi, Romania, broadcasting two programs throughout the eastern part of the country.

“Upgrading our broadcast consoles was a top priority when we decided to invest in a state-of-the-art facility,” says Constantin Burloiu, Technical Director at National Radio of Romania. “We chose the Studer OnAir 2500 for its unique combination of features including its clean, uncluttered control layout, easy access to key functions, comprehensive selection of analog and digital inputs and outputs and compact size.”

“Because we needed three consoles, having the ability for them to share audio and control signals was essential,” Burloiu continues. “The Route 6000 routers were perfect for our needs. We were able to get all three consoles and routers working together seamlessly with a minimum of setup and configuration time.”

The Studer OnAir 2500 broadcast console is a totally self-contained system that features graphical OLED (Organic LED) multi-function displays for each channel strip, and a large color touchscreen display that uses Studer’s patented Touch’n’Action system to provide easy, intuitive operation. Three standard console configurations with 12, 18 and 24 faders are available. The OnAir 2500 offers a host of connections including XLR, SUB-D, MADI, IEEE-1394 FireWire and more, and integrates with Studer’s Call Management System (CMS) and radio automation systems.

Studer’s Route 6000 router enables multiple Studer consoles to be linked to each other and operate as an integrated system, with up to 1728 x 1728 inputs and outputs. A variety of interface protocols are supported including MADI, AES, ADAT, analog, HDLInk or Studer’s flexible RELINK (Resource Linking) audio resource sharing system.
